CAMPING OR GLAMPING

Bell Tents

Our aim is not to squeeze as many pitches in as possible but to have a maximum of 5 fully equipped bell tents, giving each tent plenty of space.

Private group bookings of family or friends are very welcome. 

Your accommodation will come with double mattresses and/or single quality air beds with excellent quality bedding, a double ring gas cooker, crockery, cutlery, pans, charcoal bbq, lantern, cool box and much more. Gas is available to purchase onsite. Guests are to provide their own towels.

Pitch your own

If you prefer to pitch your own tent at Gorsey Meadow then our peaceful private field awaits you, all you have to do is choose your spot! Availability of PYO pitches are dependent on bell tent bookings and less likely in the school holidays and peak weekends. We also welcome VW Campervans.

Facilities

Gorsey Meadow has two showers offering plenty of hot water and privacy but also in keeping with the environment. There is a separate loo and butler sink and a compost loo amongst the trees. Give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised! Eco soap and shampoo only please for the showers.  The meadow is off grid but there are are two solar powered charging points. Please note there is no connection to drinking water although we try to always have some available to purchase from the shed. We advise you bring some with you. The onsite water is fine for cooking with and washing up.

There are two fire pits to relax around with lovely oak seating along with additional picnic benches.

‘The Shop’ contains essentials to purchase such as fire lighters, water and marshmallows for toasting.  The village shop has everything else you may need. There are also a number of candles in the shop,for outside use only, to borrow during your stay along with some glasses and books for adult guests.

‘The Toy Shed’ contains books for children to borrow and a few things to help keep them occupied during your stay.  Please ensure all are returned before you leave for the next guests to enjoy.

Parking

Gorsey Meadow is a tranquil, car free zone, so after emptying your car, please park on the designated Gorsey Meadow car parking pad on the Hockering House drive.

Dogs

We permit one well behaved dog per tent. Please bring a clean dog bed, keep dogs on leads at all times and ensure they are cleared up after promptly. No dogs are to be left unattended in the tents or site.
