Pitch your own TENT IN YOUR PRIVATE MEADOW

Our beautiful, secluded Oak Tree-filled meadow can be solely yours for the duration of your stay. Relax, rejuvenate and soak up the bird song in stunning surroundings. Book an escape for yourself or for a group of up to 20 people.  All tents accepted, we also welcome VW or similar size Campervans.

Facilities

Gorsey Meadow has two showers offering plenty of hot water but also in keeping with the environment. There is a separate loo and butler sink and a compost loo amongst the trees. Give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised! Eco soap and shampoo only please for the showers.  The meadow is off grid but there is a solar powered charging point for phones but we hope you can manage without them!

Please note there is no connection to drinking water although we try to always have some available to purchase from the shed. We advise you bring some with you. The onsite water is fine for cooking with and washing up.

There are two fire pits to relax around with lovely oak seating along with additional picnic benches.

The village shop has essentials and is 1 mile from the meadow. There are a number of candles and glasses in the shed for to borrow during your stay.

‘The Toy Shed’ contains books for children to borrow and a few things to help keep them occupied during your stay.  Please ensure all are returned before you leave for the next guests to enjoy.

Parking

If private hire for one or two tents we are happy for you to park on the meadow. If group hire we kindly ask to keep the meadow a car free zone, so after emptying your car, please park on the designated Gorsey Meadow car parking pad on the Hockering House drive.

Dogs

We permit well behaved dogs ideally that so not continuously bark! Please ensure dogs are cleared up after promptly,. No dogs are to be left unattended in the tents or site.
